Our day rides are made for the ones of you who ride but never really travel. That said, if you're an experienced rider and you just want to have a relaxed ride, this one will be brilliant!
We will admit, we do use these rides to showcase our skill in organizing a fantastic day on a bike and for you to get to know what to expect if you come on a longer trip with us.
This Saturday, we have a border, two gorgeous gorges, a hefty lunch, loads of views and roads less-travelled - a well rounded day on a motorcycle. The schedule is relaxed so it's also suitable to bring a pillion with you, or that "slow" friend you always promise to ride with but somehow never find the time for.
The weather at this time of year
Morning temp average is 9 - 12 Celsius
Day temp average is 20 - 23 Celsius
Rain: If it rains we'll get a bit wet
Lots of rain: If it's gonna rain all day, we'll reschedule the trip
The Day
The rally point is Lukoil Knyazhevo @ 9:30. Fuel up your bike the evening before because we are setting off as soon as we assemble. The first bit is our warm up for the day - a nice and easy ride to the Strezimirovci checkpoint. Next up is the more corner ridden beautiful road to Vlasina lake, where we will stop to enjoy some views, have a coffee should anyone want one. Then we move to the Jerma Canyon, which is the same Jerma we have in Bulgaria, kind'a the same Canyon as well, just the border splits it. The road is really pretty, especially in spring. Asphalt is...not that pretty to be honest, but nothing to cry about even on a bike with the harshest of suspensions. We will take a couple of small brakes to enjoy the nature along the way and then move to the border village of Lukavac, to have a very late lunch (like 15 o'clock or something like that). We want to be hungry for this one, it's cheap, it's tasty and the road home is nice and easy to do with your top trouser button undone so you have room to breathe. After the border, depending on how we are with time, we might go through Belidie han - super swoopy, easy road, almost trafficless, taking us off the highway and through the lands of the Dragoman Marsh. If at this point you decide you are too full of pleskavica and just want to go home and sweat on your couch, it's a simple 35 min dash to Sofia. For the rest of the group, we have an optional debriefing beer open invitation at our favorite bar (bar Point) before we head home to relax.

Is it free?
The trip itself is free
We expect you'll spend no more than 60-80 BGN on food & fuel
Are there guides?
Yes, one or two, depending on the group size. They are there just to show you the way and keep a tight group, this is no training ride
Terrain?
Low to mid-level mountainous, with two passes. It's accessible and decent quality asphalt at all times, nothing too technical.
What about the bike
This is a great route for all bikes that can sustain 100kph
